MUNIS Human Resources and Payroll Implementation:
Go Live Date Is January 1, 2008

Mission:

The mission of the MUNIS Payroll and Human Resources project is to implement a Payroll and Human Resources system as part of an integrated Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) system that promotes the joint vision of the City of Hartford , Hartford Public Schools District, the Library and Pension Commission to deliver “world class” service to their constituent populations.

Vision:

The Payroll and Human Resources project envisions an environment of full collaboration among the City of Hartford, the Hartford Public Schools District, the Library and the Pension Commission that examines current practices and identifies improvement opportunities, which leverage human capital resources, institutional knowledge, and technology in an effort to continuously improve service and productivity City-wide.

Scope:

The essential scope of the Human Resources and Payroll Project is to implement the MUNIS Payroll and Human Resources system City-wide in its vanilla or native form, with notable exceptions related to regulatory compliance and control, collective bargaining, or organizational structure, with January 1, 2008 as the go-live date for processing Hartford’s municipal government, school system, library, and pension commission payrolls.

Replacing the current human resources and payroll system is one of several projects planned in the implementation of an integrated Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) system, which is designed to utilize technology to improve and enhance City-wide business practices to keep up with the progressive demands of providing effective and efficient services across all Hartford city, school, library and pension commission functions.

With the basic Human Resources and Payroll system implemented by January 1, we will have the necessary platform in place from which we may continuously improve our human resources and payroll processes in the months and years to come.
